I have been badly affected by the coronavirus outbreak. As an airline captain, I was in one of the worst hit sectors as a result of the pandemic. So what do you do in this situation? The only thing you can do is play to your strengths, which in my case is a personality that likes to learn and use new information and constantly wants to improve themselves. Having done an engineering degree at university, which included some coding work, coupled with a strong interest in the tech sector, I decided to set up a web design company.

There can be few jobs where successful results matter as much as an airline pilot – you have to succeed on every flight! So what skills will I bring to Wired Up and, more importantly, to your business? On a day-by-day, flight-by-flight basis, pilots have to assimilate lots of technical information, make good use of task management, and use strong communication skills to reach the right decisions, usually under time pressure. There is also a long-term aspect where you have to stay current and learn new information so that you can stay safe and keep your license.
